What is New Media?
For me, new mediums are every new technologies which allow me to communicate with people around the city, more over around countries.
However, there is no exact example of new media because it always improves itself with better technology.
When we first started to use cell phone, we thought that there will not be a better communication device. However, now a days, cell phone is not only a device to talk with others but it can be act as diaries, notes, mp3 and watching movie on the cell phone with mp4 files.
Another thing that come to my mind when I think about the New Media is the "INTERNET," which now a days, the most important and the greatest invention in the world.
Honestly, I don't think I could do anything without it including, studying, meeting with my friends on chat room, playing games, writing emails and so on...
some people might say that internet is not a new media anymore, but i think as long as internet exists, it will be called new media because people keep updates internet sources like updates that i'm doing right now...writing on my blog to update my webpage.
There is no recession in new media because people want faster and better media to meet the 5C's that we learned in class which are communication, collaboration, community, creativity and convergence.
